“I made a friend on the train and we’re going to go get some food and explore.”  That was the message handsome and openly gay Aaron Salazar sent from the train on which he was travelling to Portland.
He was next found near death beaten and in a coma after he was thrown from the train.
Amtrak claims he jumped and is hiding all other information.
Professionals who have examined him, and are caring for him as he is in a coma, find Amtrak's claim ridiculous. As does his family members.  His wounds and demeanor were that of someone attacked and a vicitim of attempted murder... not a suicide.
Tonight, I am joined by a couple of Aaron's relatives as they talk with me and our journlist panel of Brody Levesque and Dawn Ennis.

Matt Olshefski , the Shirtless Violinist, has been playing the violin since he was three years old .  He and his film maker partner, Paul Castle, have molded that talent, his health physical fitness commitment and video storytelling into 17 music videos with a total of 1.6 million views.
Their creative work has been written about in Cosmopolitan, Daily Mail, Pop Sugar, Gay Times, Instinct Magazine, DNA, Advocate and others.
The videos are at once musical masterpieces, both romantic and mildly homoerotic, but their visual excellence is most remarkable due to an astounding factor. Their creator, film maker Castle, is nearly blind…due to a rare disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa, he currently only has 15% of his physical vision.
We talk to this remarkable talent duo tonight.  Along with panel regular Brody Levesque, we welcome journalist Christopher Kane!

Breaking news- California passes a complete ban on "Conversion Therapy" today, and we talk to top jounalists about it! Plus, we are excited to talk to author Rick Karatas about his new book Rainbow Relatives.
Rainbow Relatives is an entertaining guide for parents, uncles, aunts, teachers and other trusted adults to find the language and methods to discuss with children (ages 3 to 16). It’s a lighthearted and inspiring book, not a scientific one. Rick collected real, humorous, and heartwarming stories to help answer questions children may have on various topics about LGBT people and families. The book will help answer questions like: “How come Uncle Bill doesn't have a girlfriend?” Do Aunt Lucy and Doreen sleep in the same bed? “How can both those guys be Cindy’s dads?” Film maker, Del Shores, (Sordid Lives) speaks of raising two daughters as a gay dad. Bruce Vilanch (Hollywood Squares) talks about being “Godfather” to 40 kids”. Country singer Chely Wright speaks about some of the battles still being fought. Another woman recalls how she explained to her children their father is gay.
Featuring journalists Brody Levesque and Karen Ocamb, we also pay tribute to the late First Lady, Barbara Bush and her Abigail Adams legacy.

Tonight we focus on America’s legacy of lynching, the ultimate in bullying and hate crimes. A new monument is going up in Alabama to pay tribute and remembrance to those who lost their lives in this dark period of America’s past.  From the Oprah Winfrey piece on 60 minutes: “There is a reckoning taking place in America over how we remember our history...The project is being led by criminal defense attorney Bryan Stevenson, who is determined to shed light on a dark period in our past that most people would rather forget. It's a shocking and disturbing reality that lynchings were not isolated murders committed only by men in white hoods in the middle of the night. Often, they were public crimes, witnessed -- even celebrated -- by thousands of people. Stevenson believes if we want to heal racial divisions we must educate Americans -- of every color and creed.”
We discuss the legacy, the monument and the solution to healing with special guest Lecia Brooks, Outreach Director of the Southern Poverty Law Center.  Featuring Brody Levesque.

In the new movie Clark Moore plays Ethan, the bravest the character, LGBTQ or otherwise, in the film.  Juxtaposed with the Simon story line in which a teen struggles with coming out and acceptance, Ethan comes out unabashedly and withstands constant bullying and harassment as a result.
The talented Clark Moore is in our house tonight, and we can’t wait to talk to him!
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Clark began performing at the ripe age of 7 with roles in numerous professional theaters in and around Atlanta. He has a Bachelor of Arts in History, Art History and Theater from Dartmouth College. He made his debut television appearance with the a Dartmouth group on Season 3 of NBC’s “The Sing Off.”  He has since appeared as a singer on FOX’s “Glee,” and acted in the independent film “I'm Obsessed With You (But You've Got to Leave Me Alone).”
Joining me tonight is our expert panel of Brody Levesque and Dawn Ennis!
