The Gay Son of ”Straight Pride” Organizer Sounds Off About His Homophobic Mom

A sad reality of homophobic activists in our society is that many times they have a close relative-- a sister, a son, a brother, a daughter -- who is LGBT. This makes their actions even more heinous. They are actively hurting someone they are supposed to love. Phyllis Schlafly, Michelle Backman, Pete Knight, Newt Gingrich... the list goes on. Now add "Straight Pride" organizer Mylinda Mason to that list. Her son Matthew is gay.  And he is on with us today! The Stanislaus County Straight Pride Parade/Event was submitted last month for a permit by a group calling itself the National Straight Pride Coalition.
