Fighting the Anti-LGBTQ Legislation Creep Happening Now Across the US

It's happening.  In legislatures across the country specific and detrimental anti-LGBTQ bills are making their way to the respective governors' desks.  These are Republican governors in areas where the courts are now filled with Trump appointees. Today we talk about these threats, how they have been organized by the unholy alliances of the Heritage Foundation, Alliance Defending Freedom, and the Eagle Forum, what these groups are planning and how they plan to accomplish it. Weighing in, is our special guest Samuel Garrett-Pate, the communications director for Equality California. Sam oversees the organization’s strategic communications, brand management and media relations. Prior to joining EQCA, Sam was a Senior Account Executive at RALLY, where he led public affairs, political strategy and litigation communications campaigns on behalf of the firm’s clients. He previously served as an aide to New York Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney and received his BA in political science from the George Washington University. Outside of EQCA, Sam serves as the Western Caucus Chair of the LGBTQ Victory Fund’s Campaign Board. With co-host Brody Levesque
